Whether you're in the midst of the Coast to Coast walk or perhaps just out for a leisurely saunter through the fabulous ancient woodland, Falling Foss Tea Garden is the perfect place to relax and unwind, enjoy a light lunch, a sumptuous cream tea or perhaps just an ice cream. |
Falling Foss Tea Garden is a small but enchanting tea garden set in the grounds of Midge Hall, a tiny cottage which nestles at the top of the magnificent Falling Foss Waterfall in the heart of Sneaton Forest.
The property was originally built as a game keepers cottage in the late 1780's and was subsequently opened as a tea garden in the early 1900's. Unfortunately, in the 1960's the property was abandoned and after a period of 50 years became derelict and unloved. Steph & Jack Newman bought Midge Hall in spring 2008 and, after completing the renovation works on the property, re-opened the Tea Garden for business once again in July 2008.
